In a freak accident in Thiruvanmiyur, two persons were killed and three others injured when a car pulling out of an apartment complex veered out of control and rammed them. He stepped on the accelerator pedal instead of the brake while going over a speed-breaker. He panicked and lost control of the car. The car was being driven by Venkatesh (35), a bank manager. He has been arrested by the police and remanded.
