Telecom operators don't have to compensate consumers for call drops, the Supreme Court ruled today calling regulator TRAI's 2015 order "arbitrary, unreasonable and non-transparent." October last year, TRAI or Telecom Regulatory Authority of India had asked service providers to compensate consumers for dropped calls, at Rs. 1 each for the first three calls daily.
