Puducherry Lt Governor Kiren Bedi on Sunday banned use of sirens in cars of VIPs, which would also be applicable in escort and pilot vehicles of Raj Nivas. However, emergency services like ambulances and fire service vehicles would be exempted from the restriction on use of sirens.
