He said, in the year 2016-17, excise department suffered a loss of 300 crores. This financial year also has caused 200 crore losses. There was a promise to reduce the shops. There was a dispute in some places where the lottery was delayed. 95% of shops have been opened.

He said the prohibition is not possible in the state. The government's endeavor is to promote other goals. However, he clarified that the increase in revenue from liquor is not the target of the BJP government.
